14 concert pieces for piano for every occasion: from dreamily romantic to happy and spirited! From easy (2 – 3 years of teaching) to advanced and challenging, this album can be a lovely companion for many years of learning the piano. It is suitable for children and young people, as well as adults. This book is in German only.
Angela Maurer studied at the ‘Franz Liszt’ University of Music in Weimar under Manfred Schmitz, among others, and graduated with a top grade in her artistic diploma. She also has many years of experience teaching piano.
Angela Maurer is always on the lookout for motivational pieces for her pupils, which are musically and technically challenging on the one hand, but also be a real pleasure to play on the other. Therefore, the author has published 14 new concert pieces which can be played for every occasion (be it a music school concert, music competitions or simply among family and friends).
With the author’s pop-romantic style, the pieces in ‘Sonnige Momente’ (Sunny Moments) allow a spectrum of piano abilities to develop (e.g. sensitive melody design, playing multiple parts with one hand, polyrhythm). In addition, a number of fingering patterns are provided to make working with these pieces even easier. The extremely enthusiastic reactions of everyone who has played these compositions to date brought about a desire to make these poetic sounds for relaxing and dreaming available to a wider audience.
Among the pieces you will find romantic and dreamy but also happy and lively styles, for example ragtime and samba. The CD, recorded by the composer herself, serves to simplify the selection of pieces and to stimulate the player’s own interpretation. Pieces such as ‘Fiesta am Strand’, ‘Karibische Träume’ or ‘Romanze am See’ invite you to leave the world behind and relax.
Alongside easy piano pieces and pieces with a more advanced difficulty level, there are also challenging pieces, meaning this book can also be implemented after a few years of taking piano lessons. Because it is demanding, this book will accompany you for many years of learning the piano and is therefore equally suitable for children, young people and adults, and for beginners as well as advanced pianists.
